The spelling checking feature in student WebEMS, which was disabled last semester, is now activated. It is pretty useful for those who want a quick check before sending an email.
You can use this feature by clicking on the Spelling icon when writing email. If you want an automatic check before sending any email, select “Always check spelling before sending” in Options.
By the way, if your RMIT mailbox is running low on storage, you can go to the ITS and they can help you archive all the old messages to a file which can be opened using Microsoft Outlook, leaving more space for new messages.
For your information, POP or IMAP access is not available to students (I know the staff have access to RMIT Exchange Server when logged into their VPN).
Hi there,
I need download my emails from the RMITVN mailbox because its storage is rather limited and I may need those emails for further reference.
Is there a POP or IMAP server which students have access to? What are the parameters to setup my mail client?
Warm Regards,

We can back up your entire mailbox into .PST file and you can open it with MS Outlook. Please advise when you available at the campus so we can work it out. Remember to bring along USB or something to store the file.
Regards,
PS: POP3 or IMAP is not available within RMIT system.
If you have Outlook, then it’s possible to use Outlook to access webems via http.
If you have Outlook, then you still have the option of accessing webems via http. I’m just a student like you & I use Outlook to access webems every day
Hi, good post. I have been wondering about this issue,so thanks for posting.
