Dear all,
If you are one of those people who really care about the environment yet don’t know what specific things you can do, this is a great chance for you to help to save our mother earth.
Nhan Nguyen, a RMIT lecturer from Commerce department has found the website toiyeumoitruong.com (I love the environment) to raise environment awareness. It is for non-profit purpose and he is using his own money as the capital for this project. The website will be in Vietnamese and is to be used specifically in Vietnamese schools. Mr. Nhan is currently looking for students to help him translate articles from English into Vietnamese. This would reduce the cost very much compare to hiring a professional translator. More information can be founded in the message below.

Hi All,If you have received this email, it means that you have studied with me within the past year or so. I am in some serious need of assistance and I hope that some of you can help me.
I am part of a team starting a non-profit website promoting Environmental Awareness called toiyeumoitruong.com. The website is for Vietnam and will have Vietnamese content on it. We’re targeting the young people of the country and also the teaching community. I’ve attached the initial homepage design by Nguyen (one of the design students at RMIT). We have gotten a lot of support from some students and from individuals in the community.
As this is non profit, we don’t have a lot of money to make it happen. This is where you come in.
My goal is to have between 150 to 200 articles translated from English to Vietnamese for the site. I looked into translation fees and it is extremely expensive. What I am hoping we can do is get about 100 students and staff members together to do initial translations. Then each person would only need to translate 2 to 3 articles and we’ll have a lot of content for the site. Many hands make for lighter work.
With these translations, I can pay a professional writer to polish the language and it will be significantly cheaper then hiring translators at the very beginning.
Please come to the Melbourne Theatre at 2:00PM on Thursday (26-02-09), so we can have our first meeting to discuss how to manage this. I will also give you a briefing on the website and all the recent developments.
Thanks and I really hope to see you there. If you want to help, but can’t be there please email me.
Nhan
